I finally had a great experience buying a car!!!

Let’s just start with the best Part of the experience is meeting with the owner Richie. Right away I was put at ease knowing I was dealing with straight up professional. I came in burnt out! One of the good ones

I inquired about a Range Rover and Richie got right back to me. He answered all of my questions. I was so surprised that there were no crazy dealer fees. Every dealer I’ve worked with before charged an additional $500+ in “prep fees” and “doc fees”. This was a refreshing experience. We agreed on a price but at the last minute something came up on my end and I just couldn’t take the car. Richie couldn’t have been nicer or more understanding. I will definitely reach out when I’m ready for my next Range Rover.

Forget What You Know About Used Car Dealers

Forget what you know or have been told about used car dealers. Richie debunks all those negative stereotypes! Upon my initial contact, I had great, and timely interaction, he was forthright with his information up to and including calling out a small blemish on the passenger seat, that frankly I would have missed. My interaction was so positive I took a chance, and scheduled the 2+ hour drive to see the cars I had inquired about. To be honest, I was still skeptical that the interaction experienced would somehow turn into a more typical scenario when dealing with a used car lot. Much to my pleasant surprise the two vehicles that I expressed interest in were waiting for me, side by side for easy comparison, and I purchased one, and was in and out in 20 minutes! No usual BS, bait and switch, hidden fees, etc. He even arranged for suitable transport, at a reasonable rate. I can tell you that I have purchased more than 50 cars in my lifetime, and I can say honestly that Richie restored my faith in the process....A process that I have had too many negative experiences in! VIP Quality

I can honestly say that after buying 6 cars in my lifetime from different dealerships, I have finally found the one which is honest, trustworthy, and reliable. I drove 3 hours and received a speeding ticket and would do it all over again to return to this dealership for my next car. The owner, Richie told me a price for a 2014 Land Rover which seemed too good to be true and told me before he could sell it to me, he would have to run some test to make sure it was good for the road. After running some initial test, various issues were discovered and fixed all at the dealerships expense and right when I though I was going to hear a price bump, he reassured me that the price was still the same. The process from arriving to the dealership to me leaving with a brand new car was about a 30 minute time frame. I could not be happier with the service and car, all my expectations were met and surpassed. Anyone who is looking for a dealership for their next car, needs to stop by at Shore Auto Brokers and Sales and speak with Richie before going anywhere else.

I really don't know if I have enough words to express how great Richie is. As other reviewers have said, he is THE BEST! We a seamless experience with him when buying my daughter's car. Outstanding 5 star service

I have been shopping around for over 6 months visiting various used car dealers. Most of them had garbage vehicles with hidden fees. Top Notch Customer Experience

I have been looking for months for a used car with features I wanted within a budget I had and was unsuccessful. Richie was recommended by a mutual friend and I found a Ford Edge that was perfect. Richie was very easy going, patient, helpful and did not pressure me at all. Great place to buy a car

I bought a 2011 Nissan Murano from Richie at south shore auto brokers. I went in looking fir a car fir work. Richies cars are all very well maintained and prepped. I saw my vehicle drive it and after the first meeting with Richie he comes at you as a no nonsense dealer does not force you to buy he tells you about the car and let’s you decide. He also told me about his warranty’s and his if I had any problems call him and he will take care of it. When I bought the car he found things snd corrected them. Then I had a few mechanical issues he said bring it to my shop and days later I picked up car and the issue was resolved. There was no bill attached. I’d definitely recommend Richie to anyone looking for a quality used car or truck. I’d buy again as well.

Bought a 2010 Nissan Rogue for my daughter who will be attending college upstate in the fall. Richie was great from start to finish. No pressure and no sales pitch. Very honest and fair. The vehicle has an issue with the radio and two of the tires were in bad condition. Richie replaced everything, no questions asked. There were no surprises at the end. My experience at South Shore Auto was Fantastic!!!! First let me say thank you Richie for being a stand up guy. I found a truck my son liked and went to see it on a Tuesday and Thursday evening we drove out with it. Richie was not pushy or trying to sell the vehicle to me with all the gadgets it had, he gave me the history of the vehicle and let me test drive it with no questions asked. Hands Down the BEST Car Dealership ANYWHERE!

I ended up purchasing a car thru South Shore Auto Brokers & Sales and could not be happier. Searched around went to some dealerships - quite a few in fact- and was horrified. Then i stumbled upon Richie and South Shore Auto and first off the cars are in EXCELLENT condition, Secondly and most importantly Richie is a phenomenal person. The Customer service - never have i experienced anything of this level and he has a good ethical compass. He is not shady he is honest, knowledgeable, NOT PUSHY, and went above and beyond by bringing the car to me for test drive then a couple weeks later he drove the car with all the paper work title plates registration inspection to me. Further he did a full inspection at his dealership. And to top it off he has a 60 day warranty. I will probably never go anywhere else if i want to buy another, trade this one in for another car. Simply Amazing

I was a first-time car buyer, and I'll be honest to say I was a little nervous given the many horror stories I've heard from family and friends and their experiences with other dealers. But this was not the case, and i couldn't be happier. Richie is a super stand-up guy, responsive and respectful. From the moment we started talking about the car on the phone, up to the time of purchasing it a few weeks later, he was always available to answer any questions I had. He even went so far as to helping me figure out how to get financing for the truck. And as for the truck he sold, it feels like it rolled right off the lot, from the detailing to just how it drives. Sorry this took so long. We bought a 2015 Audi Q3 a little over a year ago and we absolutely love it. It’s been great to us. Very Satisfied

I just picked up my new/used Range Rover from Ritchie. I came all the way from Connecticut but originally I wanted to find a car near my home. I just happened to find his website and contacted Ritchie. When he spoke, he was friendly and accommodating. I took the 2 hour drive based on his professional yet approachable conversation. Arrived and was excited to see the car looked better in person than on the website. From that point on, the transaction with Ritchie went very well. I am very happy and satisfied with his service. He also found an additional key for the car. I have often purchased cars from other dealerships which has not been very customer friendly. I would highly recommend purchasing a car from Ritchie.

Great truck at the best price

Got the best deal ever! My wife had a car accident on the way to work. Thank god she was ok but her truck was a total loss! Was tossed into the car market in a split second. I called Richie and headed right to his lot. He had a beautiful truck that checked every box for what I needed for my family. I needed a truck immediately so I didn’t have a chance to compare the deal to others or bring the truck to my mechanic for evaluation. Anyways Rich assured me it was substantially below market value and had just been fully serviced. I bought it on his word as I did know he has a great reputation in the business. Long story short the car was registered and insured within an hour and in the driveway so my wife could make it to work before lunch. Only after the fact was I able to prove what I bet on. Car was the best deal in town by a mile. Price was outstanding. Just brought it for its first oil change. My Mechanic loved the truck. He said brakes were all brand new. No leaks. No stories. Exactly what Richie had promised. I would have no issue encouraging friends and family to call Richie first when in the market for a great pre owned car. Rich, me and my family cant thank you enough!!!!

Hands down the BEST car buying experience

I will start with the fact that two days before we found Richie on the internet we had bought a car for my daughter that we had seen online at another dealer. We sat in that dealership for three hours! (Go to this sales person, go to this warranty guy, go to this finance guy etc!) When we finally reviewed what we had signed our price had gone up by over $5,000 over the list price. We had to walk away from the car after waisting all that time and my daughter was crushed. She got on line and found another car, we were nervous but the second we met Richie we felt a huge sigh of relief. this guy is STRAIGHT UP HONEST. It was such an enjoyable experience buying our first car from him no hard sell, straight and honest price, warranty, didn't care if we financed or if we didn't. It was a terrific experience and the car is a dream! You have to know that the experience was easy from beginning to end. I didn't like a tire a few weeks after I bought the car, "no problem" he ordered me not one but two new ones. Couldn't find my old lein release on the old car, no problem Richie took care of it. Only had one key for the trade in...yup "no problem". Plates needed to be returned to the dealer "no problem"...seriously if you are buying a car and want my advice...buy from Richie, it will be enjoyable and there will be "no problems"!-update...three months later and I already bought a second car from him!

Well let me start off by saying my initial salesperson Nick was a pleasure to deal with. After deciding to purchase the vehicle I then dealt with Richie, he was very down to earth. There was an issuewith my vehicle the axles which he assured me would be repaired. He was told they are on back order. So far I can't say anything negative since my experience with Richie wasn't unpleasant he seems to be a very nice guy. I will update my review once my vehicle is done with the repairs. Straight Up Honest - nice - knows cars

I am beginning my search for a car and I stumbled upon Richie Koehl’s site with a car I was interested in. It is daunting task to look for a car and even more so a used car . Richie took the time to discuss the car with me, told me the price straight up nothing hidden. Furthermore he drove it out to me so I could test drive it as he was going to be in the city. Great experience

We drove 2 hours from New Jersey to look at the H2 that was for sale. Richie was excellent. So easy going and laid back not pushy at all. The best experience possible!

I was looking for a specific car for quite some time and I’m so ecstatic I found it here. I texted Richie inquiring about the one I found and within minutes he responded. He looked for the best deal I could get and helped me out with every aspect of it. We came from over 3 hours to look at 2 Range Rovers. Richie was professional and efficient with working with us and even placed the cars as sold until we completed our financing which took 2 weeks. The best car buying experience

My wife and I had been in the market for a used X5. After going to local dealers and dealing with the same old BS we basically gave up on looking. I found Richie while searching one night and called him the next day to ask a couple questions (again at this point we are discouraged) after making sure the vehicle had the option we wanted, I asked how can we see it without making the 5hr trip. Richie said to me I will send a driver up to you with the vehicle, take your time look it over if you don’t like it tell him to drive it back, if you do then give him a check and take it home...As soon as he told me that I was relieved and said yes you have a deal. 3 days later we met his driver and the X5 was near perfect for a used vehicle!! LLet me first day of your in the market for a used car you already know there is a bunch of trash out there advertised at one price when you get there they say oh that’s with a minimum down payment of like 5k our whatever, some will lie and tell you that yea the car is Available Just to get you in the shower room to try to sell you some other car. Rich is Great. I bought several cars over my lifetime and i must say Rich made this car buying experience very smooth and comfortable. Not only did he drive the truck 60 miles to my doorstep just so i can see it but he did not put any pressure on me to buy it. Fortunately he sells quality cars so we made a deal on the spot. I purchased my 2009 Cadillac Escalade EXT from this dealership and it was a true pleasure from start to finish. From the photos online to seeing it in person, it was everything like it said online, and the photos were accurate. I had traded in my truck as a down payment towards the Cadillac, and Richie gave me a fair value towards the trade in. He made the trade in process very easy and comforting. 2013 BMW X3

I had a wonderful experience purchasing a 2013 BMW X3 from South Shore Auto. I had a concern with damage to the windshield and they replaced the windshield for me and matched the trade in value of my prior car given to me by another dealership on Long Island. Their price was literally the lowest I could find for that year/make/model and no added fees at all. Taxes, title, inspection, and registration, that's it. The car runs great and looks great and Richie couldn't have been more of a pleasure to fo business with.

I want to start off by saying no one asked me to write a review and no, I am not related to anyone involved in the purchase of any vehicle here. This is the 3rd purchase I have made from Richie. Originally I only dealt with Richie (somehow he juggled EVERYTHING) but with my most recent purchase, I also worked with Austin and James. Each one of them was a pleasure. Everyone is eager to help. There isn't any pressure and amazingly, they sincerely care about you and your needs. Cars are finicky at times and one of the most important aspects of purchasing a vehicle is how you are treated if a concern arises. Whenever a purchase is made in any industry, I believe you find out the true character of the sales people AND the business itself when a problem comes up. Are they still going to be as nice to you after they are paid or do they suddenly avoid you and make up excuses??? NOT HERE!!! Richie WANTS you to be happy with your purchase. He takes pride in every aspect of his business. I'm so glad he has hired a staff to help him who obviously have to have the same attitude towards the customer that Richie has. They all work together to get things taken care of in an honest, sincere, competent manner. Always wanted this car. He was able to sell me the car with no extra charges. Sold me a great car, told me I had two months warranty and kept his word. About two weeks after I bought the car, I had a faulty water pump, although it wasn’t his fault, he told me to bring the car in and I brought it in and within 2 days I picked up and still haven’t had any problems. I recommend this dealership and I’ll probably be coming in, in the near future for my next car

Where do I begin, first off I've never bought a car anywhere other than a dealer so I was nervous going in. Richie could not have made the experience any Better, and I am so happy with my decision to purchase a car from him. He immediately put me at ease. The test drive and initial browsing process was so easy, I literally walked out saying "that was easy" to my husband. He was honest straight forward and reasonable. Where should I start? First of all Richie the owner and the salesman Nicholas were awesome! They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. I knew this was the car for me as soon as I walked in the door and saw it there. Nicholas the salesman was beyond nice and didn't try to push me for a sale. So where do I begin, I bought a Range Rover from Richie in Jan 2018, Immaculate vehicle, and Richie is true to his EVERY word, services the car , details it, and its looks brand new when you pick it up. Now let talk about now, 16 months later, I came back to Richie for another Range Rover. Nothing has changed, smooth process, he doesn't pressure you, and you get a vehicle that you know has been loved. Not only did I get a great vehicle, Richie had my Range tinted at my request, plus threw in winter and summer mats, plus a cargo mat. This is the guy to go to for a great vehicle. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND............In March I purchased a white 2016 Jeep Wrangler from South Shore. Right from the beginning I knew I had found the right dealer to buy my dream car from. I had searched high and low looking for the perfect vehicle to buy and when I came across South Shore, I knew I had to look at the Jeep he had listed for sale because it seemed too good to be true. (The car was everything and more that I was looking for. It was perfect!!) Not just "Nice cars of L.I." But of wherever you drive it! Richie is excellent!! He doesn't B.S. you or sugarcoat anything and gives you a great deal on a very reliable vehicle or it isn't in his lot to begin with! He even assisted me with my local DMV registering a car out of state who were 3 years out of the loop and gave me a hard time at first. You see something you like then definitely pay him a visit. A Man Of His Word

I was searching online for a Jeep srt, saw one that linked me to South Shore Auto Brokers, which Richie had taken the time to take 148 beautiful pictures of, which made me feel as if I was personally there looking at it from every angle inside and out. I called Richie, told him that I was interested, asked him if he can hold it for me and without me putting any money down he gave me his word that he would and did exactly that. He not only held the truck for me for over a month, but also put the truck down as sold on his website. Richie helped me every step of the way with the loan and helped me get approved quickly and smoothly. He even drove me to the bank so that I would be able to get a check for the down payment. He also called my insurance company and added the truck to it. If that wasn't enough, and since I was unable to stored the truck that day due to my rented garage getting some work done, Richie even paid for my ride home, all the way to New Jersey which cost him over $100. Richie not only had the truck fully serviced, bought new tires and had them installed on the truck, but also kept his word again and personally delivered the truck to me. Being an animal lover, I asked Richie about his dog, which I had seen in a picture on the website and told him that I would like to meet him. So as an added bonus, Richie had his wife bring their beautiful and very well behaved dog to the dealer so that I could personally meet him, which was another really nice experience. Richie and his staff are extremely genuine good people and were a pleasure to meet and do business with. If you want to deal with an honest salesman and have a great car buying experience, I highly recommend going to Richie, It will be well worth it.

In October 2018 my ten-year-old car was costing more money than it was worth. I was looking for a Mazda CX-5 but found new car dealers costly ,heavy pressure & not very relaxing ,or they were too far away to take a road trip for my vehicle. Another great experience

Richie Knows How To Do The Right Thing

I used to think dealing with a used car salesman was right up there with horse traders and buy a piano. Then came along Richie! I purchased a 2012 Range Rover LUX Supercharged. You know the big one. It was in perfect shape and super sexy in black. I heard a million stories that they are unreliable. Don’t buy one, but the ride and how it drives are to die for. As I drove the car back to CT, the heated seat on the driver's side was not working. To add more complications the entertainment module stopped working just after the odometer sailed through the 1,000 limited warranty period. Ugh. Holding my breath, Richie got on the phone and stood by his product! He fixed the heated seat and changed out all the components that were connected to the entrainment module i.e the amp and the bluetooth module. Everything is still working great after 90 days! This was not an inexpensive repair job. I’m sure Richie actually lost money on selling me the Range Rover after you factor in all the labor and out of pocket costs for the parts. Let me say this, "Buy a car from Richie." He is no horse trader and you can certainly trust him and he knows customer service. He's a nice guy to. You may even want to give him a bottle of rosé and invite him over for dinner. Thanks Richie - Elizabeth

New vehicle

Never one to buy a car on line, I live in upstate New York my good friend purchased a car from south shore , and after months of searching I found a Mercedes suv that was on the website, reached out to the owner Richie who got rite back to me answered all my questions. The process took about two weeks .I flew to nyc where I was picked up at the airport by one of his employees who drove us to the dmv where it took us about 15 minutes to process the registration and plates and was on my way home with my knew ride. The only thing I’m bummed about was that I didn’t find Richie and south shore auto brokers years ago, what an experience it was . #customer for life. My family and I were in the market for a preowned Range Rover. We looked on line found a few and went to see them. But unfortunately none of them were what the dealers said they were. Exceeded our expectations

We were a little apprehensive about buying a used car from a private dealership but the owner Richie has changed our opinion completely. We were searching for a Cadillac for some time, and finally found one at this location. We called and the owner set up an appointment with us so he could help us out. When we got there the owner filled up the truck with gas and let us take a test drive and told us to take our time with the vehicle. The truck was in pristine condition. Matter of fact we looked at other vehicles on his lot and they were all in pristine condition. After we decided to buy it the owner Richie handled the entire transaction and couldn’t be more professional and easy going. He made buying this vehicle very stress free. The vehicle had 2 dents in the hood, which we observed and were okay with. To our surprise before we picked up the vehicle the owner called us and let us know he repaired the dents for us. We were blown away by his kindness. Everything that was agreed upon was delivered by Richie, there were no problems at all. NO pressure, comfortable vibe

My family needed 2 cars and we narrowed down the make and models we were after. After searching online sites for weeks and visiting countless dealerships I stumbled upon Richie's website. I was impressed with the amount of photos he provided, especially since I live in CT and it would be a long trip. Amazing Experience

My husband and I were in the market for a Range Rover, we spent hours looking on the internet, narrowed it down to a few cars and dealers. Everytime we went to a dealership it was the same old story! The price on the internet didn't match the price once we got there or the cars looked nicer in pictures then they did in person. We were ready to give up! Beyond All Expectations

I stumbled on this dealer on one of the many used car search engines. I checked out the dealer’s website for more info and reviews, which by the way, looked too good to be true. Richie had a 2012 VW Tiguan with every possible option and low miles. Negotiations were fast, straight forward and Richie was willing to deliver the car to my door in Vermont. Have to admit, I was skeptical right up to the actual delivery. The car arrived and any fears I had were put to rest. It looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor. Spotless in and out, 4 new 19" Continental radials, clean oil and coolant, like new battery and all weather floor mats in addition to the OEM carpeted mats. The car runs great and Richie made the paperwork a breeze. Communication with Richie was excellent and he was reachable day and night, weekdays or weekends. As a retired General Sales Manager of a dual franchise dealership, I tend to be very critical with my reviews regarding new or used car purchases. That being said, I give this dealership and Richie the highest praise. He is a breath of fresh air in an extremely competitive and at time deceptive industry.

The way it is supposed to be

As good as it gets! From start to finish, this transaction for my favorite car was a walk in the park. At the start, I find my favorite vehicle ever, 2004 Mercury Marauder. Low miles, 100+ pictures of immaculation and a phone number in Massaquena, NY to call. I call this number and talk with Richie who tells me he would hold this vehicle without a deposit. I tell him it would take me three weeks with my schedule to get a plane ticket up to New York. "No problem, the car will be here when I am ready," says Richie. Richie was just that easy to talk to and to deal with in all events leading up to signing on the dotted line. I flew up to New York, a car was sent for me at the airport and a couple of hours I was driving away in my like-brand new 2004 Mercury Marauder. This was by far my best experience with a car dealership and I have had two really good ones and one disaster. Thank you very much to South Shore Auto Brokers. Such a wonderful experience!

Shopping for a car can be a daunting experience. Once my husband and I realized that we would need to replace one of our vehicles, we started doing our research and began speaking with and visiting different dealerships. We realized quickly that you need to be careful with who you do business with. When we met Richie, he was different. The first thing we noticed was that he keeps his vehicles in pristine condition, which is not what we experienced when we looked at other cars. Second, the prices of his vehicles are extremely fair (and we looked at many and did our research). Most importantly, he was honest and helpful with all of our questions and feedback and didn't put pressure on us. Ultimately, he was just a pleasure to work with- something that you can't necessarily say when you're going through this process. We are so happy that we purchased our car from Richie and would not think twice about returning to him in the future when we need to replace our other car. We'll also be working with him in the future when we need any servicing or repairs done. I would highly recommend any of my family friends to work with him (I have already).

Unusual experience, in a very good way!!!

Buying a car Should be an exciting experience...you're either spending a lot of money at the onset or taking out a loan that will take years to payi off..chances are, you will be using your vehicle on a regular basis and you need for it to be(at least) reliable, (at most) fun to drive. Buying a previously loved vehicle is the best way to get a car that will depreciate slower yet have a great car without the huge price tag ... Taking all this into consideration, why is it so stressful even thinking about getting another car?? Easy answer, the stereotypical used car salesman is very much alive!!!..You worry about being ripped off, deceived, lied to and treated like you were born yesterday...If you are controversial in nature, you might enjoy it to a degree, if you are uncomfortable with conflict, it's a nightmare...lol...buying a vehicle is one of the best topics for comedians...Pretty much anyone who has purchased a car can relate to a harrowing story..not funny at the time, hilarious after the fact... Well, the days of car buying "dread" are over...IF you deal with Richie at Nice Cars of Long Island a/k/a South Shore Auto Brokers and Sales... No, I don't work there, I am not related to anyone there and I don't have any incentive to say anything nice about this dealership. Ok, I am still in awe of our experience. My husband and I were looking for a car but we were not looking forward to the process..About a year ago I was checking things out online and I came across Richies website..I was extremely impressed by the mint condition of every vehicle and the prices were always surprisingly fair...Every time I "window shopped", I saw at least two (+) cars that I'd be interested in on his site. I had a very strong feeling that when the time came to actually purchase a car, we would be doing business with Nice Cars of Long Island... For the first time in many, many years, I was excited when we were finally in a position to "shop to buy".. I'm going to sound a bit weird to some people for a moment but I have a very strong belief in Angels...I ask them for help with EVERYTHING now... (In my experience, I have realized they will help with all areas of my life, I just have to ask...) Well, of course I asked for guidance and of course, the next thing I know, I am in contact with Richie. From the first phone call, he was amazing to deal with. He is super busy yet he makes you feel like you are the most important client he has. The funny thing is, while you are with him, you ARE the most important person, it's not an act. He is a breath of fresh air. At first you are on used car salesman "guard" but that quickly dissipates and you suddenly realize you feel cared about and well taken care of... Those are not common experiences in that industry..If anyone reading this sells second hand cars and you feel defensive, become a Richie...bend over backwards to treat people in an honest, caring, thoughtful, responsible, generous and kind way...From start to finish, he takes away the worry and fear normally associated with buying a car..It is a great feeling to know there is a place to go where you can buy a car from someone who is extremely knowledgeable, fair, trustworthy and respectful. During the process, Richie realized he made a mistake on the price that he quoted me. He not only honored the lower price, he was a gentleman and did not mention the amount. At one point, he noticed a small area that had an issue with the paint and he said, oh, that's not up to our standards, I will have that fixed professionally. It's as if he is there with you as a buyers advocate AND he is the seller..He runs his business in the most unusual and unexpected way...He treats others the way he would want to be treated...Holy Mackeral, wouldn't life be so much easier if everyone lived by that golden rule?? It was incredibly refreshing to experience that in such an unlikely place... Richie is an amazing guy, sincere and honest with a smile that lights up his face and warms your heart, the answer to a prayer and in our experience, a true Earth Angel...

I’ve had always wanted a Range Rover and I have been seeing this page pop up with a huge selection. I finally went in to speak to Richie, the owner. Needless to say, he was not at all your “typical” car dealer whatsoever. He was informative, patient and most of all honest with me from the beginning. Win Win

When I first called the dealership inquiring about my trade-in value on my car and the cost of the the car I eventually purchased, I was giving two sets of numbers that I could work with but thought it was just salesman talk. I drove down to look at the car and submit my trade in vehicle and Richie stuck to his original offer and credited me $500 dollars after explaining to him that I heard of his establishment through a friend for whom my son volunteers with handicapped kids! Bottom line is there was no bait and switch gimmicks or false trade in values; it was a win/win situation. I received a beautiful car and traded in a diesel truck at fair market value with no hassle sales pitch. Car looks and drives great, car was fully detailed and prepped; registration and DMV was all handled by Ritchie. Trust me when I say Ritchie and his establishment stands alone making the whole used car/trade in experience smooth, fair, and a win/win situation for everyone. That is a rare thing in the used car biz! I couldn’t be happier with the purchase I made.

Buying from a friend not just a salsman

So I’m not huge on writing reviews but in this case I felt it absolutely necessary. A few months back I was searching for a car for my pregnant girlfriend I wanted something safe reliable and affordable that she would love. I was always a fan of Land Rovers but right now can’t afford one brand new. I found a few places that sold used Land Rovers but was given the run around and just didn’t trust it. I did some extra research and found Richies site. The reviews I read were all excellent seemed to good to be true but I decided to go take a look couldn’t hurt. Went to his place in Massapequa which is immaculate and has so many great options on vehicles in great condition. Fell in love with a 2013 Land Rover Richie answered any questions I had really made me feel like a friend didn’t speak to me like a salesman we negotiated a price and it was sold. In the same day I also test drive a 2013 Jeep Wrangler in great condition and bought that too. He even helped set me up with a loan. Once purchased he he took a day out 1500.00 of work into it that I didn’t ask for that’s the kind of nice guy he is. He makes sure all his vehicles leave his place in mint condition he truly cares his business and customers mean everything to him. I really am not the type to sit and write a review but I know there are many others out there just like me who need a reliable affordable nice car for their loved ones and I just really want you to know he is the right guy to buy from I will never go to anyone else. I've known Richie for many years and for as long as I can remember he has been in the car business. My wife and I were both needing vehicles as our leases were up and I could not afford to go new this time around. I went to Richie because since we were kids he was always a stand up guy and that is still very much the case. I bought a 2013 Audi and a 2006 Cadi both with low miles and in mint condition. I was never really a fan of buying used but without exaggerating I couldn't be more happy and satisfied with both cars. My daughter gets her license in September and I definitely will be visiting Richie again. Richie thank my friend for always doing the right thing.

Great experience

I purchased a Range Rover from Richie about thirty days ago. It was as seamless a transaction buying a car as I've had. We shook hands on the price and from there he took over. Very easy experience with no pressure and honest responses. I really felt like Richie was looking to ensure that I was going to be satisfied with the purchase. Super excited to write this review. I was searching for a Nissan Rogue in red. I came across Richie's Dealership in Massapequa who had a Nissan Rogue in red. I texted him last at night to make an appointment to see the vehicle. He immediately answered me. I was there, this past Saturday to see the vehicle with my family and we loved it. He put me in contact with his financial broker Frank on Wednesday. I was approved for the loan. He took care of all the DMV paperwork. We drove out to Bayshore to sign the loan paperwork and pickup the vehicle. It's Thursday and my Nissan Rogue is parked in my driveway. The vehicle was in pristine condition, as are all the vehicles he sales. In less than a week I had my new vehicle. Thank you so much Richie and Frank for making this process so stress free and pleasant! Especially your honesty and straightforwardness in explaining the details of the process.

Boy O boy where can I even begin? Never in my entire life have I experienced a car purchasing process as easy, non stressful, problem free and exciting from start to finish than my recent purchase at South Shore Auto Brokers and Sales dealing directly with Richie. I can't tell you how many times I entered a car dealership extremely excited by the thought of purchasing my new car and by the time I leave I'm so frustrated that the excitement is completely drained and ripped from me by the gimmicks and scams encountered at some of these other shady so called businesses. Each using their own tricks of the trade to lure you in with the bait and switch and many other gimmicks they try. NOT HERE! Majority of our negotiation by my choice took place via email or text. And negotiations is probably not even a good description of what we did, we may have at best gone back-and-forth once or twice. Let's just say I may have offered to buy this pristine vehicle for "just a bit less" than you would expect to pay for a car as beautiful as the one Richie sold me. In the end we landed on a very reasonable price and a great offer on my trade in, which only made things that much easier. I'm the kind of person that will not buy anything without doing an enormous amount of research on not only the product but the company and its past dealings with customers. And just like you, I read the reviews feeling somewhat skeptical that no one could be as fair and reasonable in the used car business as everyone claimed Richie to be. But believe it or not I'm not his cousin or past buddy or some fake review. Richie truly is the guy everyone writes about!! He makes his living pleasing his customers delivering a product that he can be proud of and in the end like myself I'm sure you'll leave extremely pleased with the overall experience and the outcome. From the moment I stepped into the shop and met Richie he made me feel like family or a great friend in a very comfortable atmosphere. He took care of everything from top to bottom. Any people work was completed and ready to go for my signature and/or initials, DMV switch of the plates, anything you can think of he took care of it soup to nuts and the deal was unlike anything I would have imagined. While all the formalities are being taken care of by Richie and myself the car was being prepped for us to go and only then was I allowed to leave happily. Richie would not allow for anything to leave his shop unless it past his level of expectations prior. I truly can't say enough, thank you very much Richie! You will definitely be the person I recommend all friends and family to see for their vehicle purchasing and the future. Richie truly breaks the mold in terms of the typical used car salesman caricatured wearing the plaid blazer. He works and operates in this fast paced generation of instant gratification dealing comfortably with email and text rather than snail mail and fax machines of the past. You get what you need when you need it with a level of white glove service which at times seems too good to be true. Super Positive Experience

Where should I begin? When I first met Rich I knew I was in the right place. He was honest and didn’t beat around the bush. All of his vehicles speak for themselves. Super clean and as advertised. Rich said that he charges minimal dealers fees. I couldn’t believe it because every other dealership I went to would tack on thousands of dollars and call them different types of fees. I never understood the additional fees. All of the cars at his dealership are not only clean but are listed below market value. Rich is non intrusive and lets his vehicles do the selling, I like that approach. Rich was always available and he walked me thru the entire process making sure I was satisfied with my purchase. Absolutely fantastic experience. Cames across a posting for the car of my dreams online which led me to South Shore Auto sales website. Saw all the great pictures and information and instantly knew I had to go see this car. Called up right away and talked to Richie and setup appointment for next day. You always have those fears when going car buying but for me those fears turned to pure excitement the minute I stepped into South Shore Auto sales and met Richie. Richie is top notch and pure class. Richie is someone you only dream of finding when buying a car because not once did I feel pressured or feel like I was being taken advantage of like every other dealership. Laura Cordero Our son recently began driving so after a few months of juggling two cars for a 3 driver family, we decided to purchase a used car. After having some terrible dealer experiences (dirty places, rude sales people and shady deals) we were so lucky to walk into South Shore Auto. Ritchie the owner ,had the car all ready for us (we had seen his car online). To say the car was clean is an understatement. It was a 2011 and it looked newer than the 2016 we drove up in. After a test drive we decided we were ready to make an offer. Ritchie was so professional and was able to answer every question we had. The whole process was so easy and stress free. We picked up our car this morning and we couldn't be happier. We have another son who will need a car very soon and we will definitely be back as repeat customers. 2007 335i Convertible

Thank you Richie for selling me my dream car. I have been researching cars for a long time, waiting to find a clean, straight, and well documented 3 series. After driving more than a few I came across his 335i. He met me on a Saturday morning for a test drive and the car was just as described and appeared on CarGurus. The car needed some minor things before delivery and everything was taken care of. The car was so clean on delivery, most everyone who saw it thought it was new, not a 10 yr old car! Great transaction - What you see is what you get

When I was searching for a car to buy, I conducted a thorough research. I checked several websites to get the feel of the prices for used Toyota Sequoia. I saw lower or equivalent prices, but the other deals were too good to be true. When you get to most dealers they would say this is internet price which meant they add two or three different fees totaling to $2000-2500 depending whether you are paying cash or taking a loan. Using cash is more expensive. However, Richie had no qualms whichever way I wanted to pay. He is a no-frills - no pressure kind of guy. He went out of his way to accommodate my schedule, and when we found the DMV computer was not working, he offered to deliver the car to my house at no charge, then he went on to say, 'If you find any thing wrong just let me know and we will fix it for you'. Honestly, I thought this breed was extinct. It was so refreshing to know there are some still roaming around. Thank you Richie.

Completly Satisfied

I was referred to Nice Cars of LI by a neighbor that was very satisfied with the purchase of a car for his son. In addition his parents made another very successful purchase of a vehicle for themselves. I contacted Richie and was advised the car I was interested for my son was recently sold. Richie asked what type of vehicle we were interested in and said he would contact me as soon as a vehicle that met our criteria was found. Some time had passed but as promised Richie called to say he was in the process of picking up what he thought was the perfect vehicle for us. This was a Thursday and I explained that due to my sons work schedule we would not be able to see the car until Monday. Richie responded no problem, I won't list the car until I hear from you, it's yours, come when you came. We came, we agreed it was the right car and we agreed on a price. I asked if I could have my local mechanic look over the car, Richie responded of course, tell me where they are and I'll bring it there for them to perform an inspection. He did, the car was immaculate and the purchase was seamless. He gets the registration and plates for you, definitely one of the easiest and smoothest purchases of a vehicle. Richie is an oxymoron, used care salesmen have a negative connotation, not Richie, the complete total opposite. The man is his word and his word is the man. I would definitely recommend Nice Cars of Long Island.

I have been looking for a used Range Rover. I had one years back and on a weak moment, sold it, owner still has it years later and loves it. I am a fussy guy who loves cars. Integrity, Professionalism, No Ego

My wife and I knew what car we wanted, a LExus SC430, and had done a lot of online research and shopping. I am a "car guy", and also happen to be a sales professional of 25 years plus. These factors combined means that I knew what I was calling/emailing about, looking at, and also how I was being treated from initial contact with Rich. I can not say enough good things about the whole experience. The car was just as nice, if not nicer than I was told it was. Rich was very, very fair with my trade-in valuation, and easy the purchase was with full disclosure. Rich not only addressed the items agreed upon at contract signing, he addressed a few small unforeseen issues too. In short, you have to choose who you trust, and believe that there are still good people in the world. While most of the world won't do either when it comes to a "used car salesman", I chose to do both with Rich, and am very happy that I did so. SSAB is a great place to find a high quality used car, because they are very selective about what the offer on their lot. Out of State Buyers--LOOK NO FURTHER!!

I just bought a Maserati car from Richie, site unseen as I am over 500 miles away. I flew my employee down to pick up the car for me in which someone was waiting for him at the airport as promised. When I saw the car in person (after I had already bought it on Richie's word) all I can say is wow!!! UNBELIEVABLE EXPERIENCE!!!!

Let me start off by saying Richie is very honest and true to his word. I called Richie to find out if the 2007 G35x was available. I saw and test drove the car the same day. Richie made the process so smooth from beginning to the end including DMV. Everything he promised he did with no hesitation and more. He has no hidden fees and a handshake sealed the deal. Having limited time and in need of a car, I called Richie on a Sunday and he was able to schedule an appointment within minutes. Great dealership

I just visited South Shore Auto Brokers and was blown away by the condition of their inventory every place I've been so far the cause have been scratched up dirty,etc. This guy takes a lot of pride in what he do does you could tell by his inventory and the cleanliness of his lot his prices will all what they appear to be on his website not like all the other places I visited there were no extra fees at all. The car is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! About Richie. Good guy. Doesn't oversell you. Makes you feel comfortable without the sales talk. Lets the vehicle sell itself. Top Notch Used Car Dealer

Richie from South Shore Auto Brokers and Sales was an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. He was always quick to return my phone calls or texts. There were absolutely no hidden fees or charges which is extremely rare when dealing with both used car dealers and dealerships. The deal was sealed with a handshake and I didn't even have to leave a deposit. Richie completely went through the car prior to delivery making sure everything was perfect and fixed even the most minor things. He even changed the windshield wipers and filled it with gas before delivering it right to my house. I can't say enough what a pleasurable experience it really was to deal with him. This is my first time ever even wanting to take time out to type a review. im happy doing so. from night one I called Richie up at around 8 PM and to my surprise he answered. I told him about The Land Rover I was interested in and he gave me so much details and was honest from the start to finish. I NEVER bought a car online always went to dealers so I was super nevous. Richie was patient and reassured me all will be well nothing is worth him risking his reputation. I'm from Stratford, CT and drove to Long Island, the Evoque was in the exact condition as described and as the pictures. we ment at the DMV and has richie said over phone when I ask how long it took no more than a half hour!!!! BEST EXPEREINCE EVER!!!

Richie is truly one honest and professional dealer. I recently bought an Audi Q5 from him and the purchase went stress free. The price online is the exact price you pay. There's no gimmicks like the other places where the price is 80% of the price and then you have to pay another 20% as down for financing the car. Richie's price is the same cash or finance. His cars are of great quality because he gets them straight from the dealerships. Richie does not pressure you into buying from him and you can decide at your own pace. He actually waited for me to get off work to see and test drive the car at 9PM. What impressed me the most was that he was so courteous to move the car into his shop so I can see it fully under light since it got dark out. He doesn't even take a deposit to secure the deal just a firm hand shake and his word. He will always do right with you so there's no need to worry. Richie will take you to the DMV and everything is done for you to get your plates and drive away with your new car. Thanks to riche and his team for the great service. I was looking for a car for a couple of weeks and I stumbled upon nice cars of Long Island . My Daughters First Care

I have to say hands down this was the best car buying experience I have ever had . I found the car on Car Guru and reached out to Rich. He was very helpful in scheduling a viewing of the car . I just purchased my A6 from Richie. Was looking for a specific vehicle (s-line) and have had a nightmare with other dealers either advertising false prices with many added charges or falsely representing the car as better than it was. I actually drove from Syracuse to Allentown Pennsylvania to buy an A6 only to be totally disappointed in the condition of the car and driving back home in my rental. I was very skeptical of Richie at first thinking many of these reviews were rigged since I could find nothing bad about him. After dealing with I now know why. I flew from Syracuse to NYC yesterday morning and he picked me up at the airport. The car was exactly as advertised. He went above and beyond changing the brakes (even though he didn't have to and making sure the car was perfect. He registered it and inspected it for me and away I went. The car drove perfectly on the way home (5 hr trip). I would definitely recommend him to any of my friends or family. And yes, I am giving him another 5 stars!!!

Great Service

When I say Richie went above and beyond for me I truly mean it. I live a few hours away and when I initially first went to see the vehicle he had it cleaned pulled up and ready to go for me. Once I decided I wanted it I told him i was going to call my bank and set everything up he did not require any written commitment or deposit. He in fact gave me a purchase agreement and told me to rip it up if I changed my mind on my long drive back home. Once I actually got the car I did have a few kinks with it nothing mechanical on his end it was all electrical it being a higher end car that stuff does happen. He not only stayed in touch with me the entire time while trying to figure out what was up he actually sent one of his workers to my job over 3 hours away had them bring me another luxury loaner car and the gentleman drove my car back to Richie to have it checked out. Great experience

I usually hate car buying because of the pressure sales tactics. It was a huge relief when I spoke with Richie. 2015 Cadillac Escalade Platinum

I've purchased over a dozen cars in my lifetime and I have to say the my experience at South Shore Auto Brokers and Sales was by far the best car buying experience I've encountered. I came in to look at a 2015 Cadillac Escalade Platinum Edition and met with Richie. He explained to me in great detail about the truck, all the options, its service history, and financing options. Great Car Buying Experience

I had an excellent experience working with Richie at South Shore, I was looking for my son's first car and found what we liked at an unbelievable price. I called and made an appointment for a Sunday and the car was ready to test drive when we arrived. Richie handed us the keys and told us to take our time. He explained right up front what issue it had which was minor and would be repaired before we would ever take ownership of it. We were so impressed with him and felt very comfortable. There was no pressure to buy and if we wanted it we just had to let him know. I told him I need to discuss it with my ex-wife and would get back to him on this and it was no problem as he would hold onto it until I let him know. Monday I called and agreed to take it and pick it up on Friday and Richie had everything taken care of and repaired. He met my ex-wife at the DMV, filled out all the paperwork and 30 minutes later my son was off in his new car. It was one of my best buying experiences ever. I called Richie to make an appointment and he was waiting for me when I arrived. I drove the car and liked it, this car was a bit nicer than all of the other lots I had been to. We came to an agreement and I purchased the car. I had a minor mechanical issue after I took delivery so I called Rich. He addressed the problem like it was his own car. He arranged for his shop to make a repair at my convenience and he also arranged for my transportation. This is the way a sale should always go down. Make Your Life Easy: Buy From Richie

There are two types of people who don't know the pain of buying a car: people who never bought a car, and people who bought a car from Richie. Here's how buying a car from him goes: you call him up to ask if a certain car has not been sold yet. The first thing he says is something like "yes, the car is here, and of course you can come look at it." The next thing you hear is "I'm letting you know right now, the car has these and those flaws, and I will fix them for you." After being amazed that you finally found a man who is honest enough to tell you what is wrong, you go to look at the car. Upon arriving you find that the car you wanted is so clean and good looking that you no longer want to look at any other car. You take the car for a ride, find that it drives the same way it looks, and you ask what's next. Richie tells you that he will contact you as soon as any possible issue with the car is fixed, and after it passes inspection by his mechanic, and you will only have to be at the DMV to sign the papers and drive off. Then you ask the question everyone is afraid to ask a car dealer: what about the final price? Any other dealer would take you to the office, pull out a calculator, start typing something in, and tell you that the final price is about $4000 more than the price you saw online. Every other dealer, but not Richie. He just pulls out his phone, opens up a calculator, calculates the tax from the price you saw online, adds to that the fees you have to pay for registration, and tells you the final price. As straight forward as it gets, with no hidden fees, and no other tricks. You shake hands, he does not take any deposits, instead he goes by his and your word. Fast forward a little bit, you are at the DMV signing the papers, all of which he fills out for you, and in no time you drive off in your new car, wondering why aren't all car dealers as honest, trustworthy, and absolutely amazingly professional as Richie. If you want to buy a car, go to Richie, don't waste your time and effort on other dealers, he's the only one you can truly trust.

Flawless, absolutely flawless!

I purchased a 2010 Audi A6 from Richie in November of 2016. All I can say is the experience from start to finish was flawless. Richie is very meticulous about the cars he sells. I looked at now my car and thought it was spotless with the exception of a small ding on the hood. Richie not only took care of the hood but also noticed the visor clip was broken and fixed it. He also replaced a piece of the center console that was pealing. All at no charge to me. Richie's finance people had me funded and all DMV paperwork completed in a very short time. Richie's service center was very professional and completed the aforementioned repairs in a timely manner. I have always been very careful when I purchase anything large items and I buy when I want rather than when I need. My third interaction with Richie I was interested in two cars when I made my decision I called him again and said that I wanted a particular car , he said that someone made an appointment to come see it that following day. Best Dealer In NY

It's Christmas morning and I must take time to tell you about Richie at South Shore. I originally contacted him about a beautiful ML 350 he had for sale and asked for a test drive. Richie had it warmed up and waiting for me. The Mercedes was even nicer than I expected and I went on a relaxing no pressure test drive alone. The price was more than I was wanting to spend so I passed and two days later I get a text telling me he had another one he picked up that morning that would be perfect for me. He emailed pictures and told me of a few minor issues he would take care of. I went back to South Shore and it was exactly what I wanted and we made an easy no pressure deal. Richie changed the tires, fixed some cosmetic issues, and had the Mercedes checked by his auto shop inside and out. When the brake light bulb needed fixing he changed the whole tail light assembly with a new one, no questions asked. I could not be happier with the car or my dealings with Richie. Don't pay for the fancy showroom and high overhead. I really shopped this deal and I know I probably save $4000 here. You'd be hard pressed to find better.

You're not going to find a dealer in the NY/CT area that handles the process of selling a car with as much care and respect for you as a buyer, as Richie. I had called and left a message for him before I left for work, and he had responded to me within 2 hours, indicating that he could have the car ready for a test drive later that very day. When I arrived the Jeep was already running, allowing me to inspect for leaks/drips/etc (of which you'd be hard pressed to find on any of Richie's cars, I imagine). Test drive was a laid back experience driving through the park and opening it up on the quieter roads a little bit, all without the office experience and license requisition of most dealers. The Jeep performed flawlessly, and really sold itself to me which is what I want a vehicle to do. If your coming here with a specific car in mind, do your homework. Make sure you know the blue book value and consider the options available on the vehicle model you are selecting. This will truly allow you to appreciate the great prices that are offered here! He offered me a good price on my trade in, and we arranged to finalize the deal, assuring me the car would be 'perfect' for delivery. It was just that. Detailed and immaculate, almost felt as if I was leaving with a new vehicle. Mike was also extremely helpful on the finance side and worked to find me the best rate among his different banks. I'm a belt and suspenders kind of guy and had many questions to be answered before I drove another 3 hours one way to finalize the deal. He was always available with an answer to my emails and phone calls, which goes a long way. My delivery was expedited as well, to a mere 30 minutes, with an out of state registration at that! While wrapping up, Mike had a suggestion for some delicious food, which we grabbed on our way back to CT via the ferry. Definitely consider this option as opposed to dealing with the mess that can be NYC traffic, as It takes a relaxing hour and twenty minutes to go from Orient Point, NY to New London, CT with your new vehicle. All in all, it was by far my best car buying experience. When I'm in the used car market again I know who I'll be calling first. Thank you gentlemen.

Best Out of State Buying Experience with a Dealer!

Our purchase with South Shore of a Mercedes ML 350 hands down, was the best buying experience we've had with a car dealer! First and foremost, Richie sets the precedent when it comes to HONESTY and INTEGRITY- two significant qualities that are very hard to come by when purchasing a vehicle, particularly if you are buying from out of state. We had been in the market for over a month and had spent a good deal of money on ordering car faxes and remote inspections with local mechanics on cars we thought were good deals until we received horrible feedback in the inspection reports and realized many of the dealers were concealing significant problems with the cars that were advertised. We happened to come across South Shore’s outstanding inventory from an online search and we were highly impressed- all the luxury vehicles are in fantastic condition, fully loaded- we found out that the GL-350 we were initially attracted to, was sold recently and fortunately came across the ML-350 which had the suede/leather combination interior we had been searching for nationwide. Couple of things really stood out, the car’s history was impeccable, it had been well maintained with a Mercedes certified mechanic only and the service records were extremely comprehensive and thorough. Secondly, upon discussing with Richie we were immediately sold, he gave us the best price and he DOES NOT charge all these additional fees that you will find other dealerships tack on to the sale price. We were out the door based on the agreed asking price. We arranged for a mechanic to do an independent inspection, Everything on the car checked out. When we drove down to pick up the car, all the paper work was arranged for the out of state temporary plates and within 15 minutes we were all set to hit the road. Richie assured us that if there were any issues, we could give him a call, lastly he made sure we were well taken care of. He threw in some perks that we’ve never gotten when purchasing any of our previous vehicles. When it was time to register the car in our state, we needed an additional document to accompany the tax payment and Richie faxed it over immediately. He is a man of his word and goes over and beyond for his clients. It’s been over a month since our purchase, and we had to make sure that we came back to leave a strong review based on our experience. The car runs beautifully, we’ve had no issues and moreover, in the short term we plan to purchase a second vehicle from South Shore. If you are in the market for a new car, you’ve struck gold with this dealership…look no further!

Just recently bought a 2003 Mustang from South Shore Auto Brokers and sales. I was looking for a car for my grandson , who had just gotten his license and has been a big help for my daughter who is a single Mom due to my son in laws passing 5 years ago. He found the car on their web site and sent it to me. I liked what I saw , so I called Richie Koehl and made an appt. to see the car. I live in Queens and my grandson is in Ronkonkoma. I went out to L.I. to pick him and my daughter up and went to Massapequa to meet Rich. We looked at the car and drove it and it was in pristine shape as Richie had told me it was. It was an original owner car and Richie showed me all the paperwork and the car fax showed the first owner only put about 2,300 mile a year on the car. After going over the car and picking up some minor flaws, Rich told me he would take care of them and not to be concerned about the cars safety( as far as brakes, etc. ) he understood since my grandson is a new driver the car will be checked out 100% so I would feel comfortable with him driving it for the first time. We struck a deal and 2 days later we went to pick it up. Richie had all the paperwork I needed to register the car and called ahead to DMV to let them know I was coming. With the DMV 10 minutes away, I was back at the detailing shop in no time. The car was inspected and detailed and the mechanics installed the plates and the detailer was still walking around the car with touch up paint repairing any little chip he saw! My grandson followed me out east and was thrilled as heck with the car. I want the thank Richard for a used car buying experience that was beyond great. His honesty and straight forwardness leaves me to believe that he is the guy to recommend to all my friends and relatives when they are in the market for a good used vehicle.

Richie is the Man!!!!

First off Richie is the man! I just purchased a gorgeous 2009 Yellow Porsche Cayman from Richie and the experience could not have been any better! Of all the cars I have purchased this was by far the best experience I've ever had. Everything in life is all about relationships and Richie not only became the ONLY person I will go to when looking for a car but he has also become a friend! I met him with my son who is 16 on a blistering hot Saturday in Summer. He treated my son incredibly and let us take the car which is a 2 seater for a test ride. Just me and my son. No one does that! By that Tuesday morning the car was in my driveway and Richie personally delivered it to me. He set me up with a great person to handle the financing and ANYTIME I called Richie he was there. He answered every single call and if by chance he couldn't answer he would send an immediate text saying he would call me back in 5 to 10 minutes and ALWAYS did. The bottom line is this, and I've been around the block more times than Mister Softee, some people are real deal people who follow through with what they say they are going to do and Richie is a real deal class act whom will not only get my business, he will also be referred by me to all of my family and friends. Excellent Experience

I purchased a Mercedes from Richie and it was as smooth of a transaction as it could be. I had been to other dealers telling me one thing and showing me another. Richie delivered on everything that he said. The car was in perfect condition like he explained to me, and when I saw it in person it was just as advertised. After my purchase there was minor issue with one of the motors in the front seat. Richie said bring it in and it will be fixed right away and it was. Should have started here first!

First off, let me say that this was my first ever car buying experience and was just as frustrating as everyone said it would be... until i stumbled across Richie's ad. I was under a very short time line to find and buy a car before i had to return to school, and what was even shorter was my budget. When i first saw the online ad for his 2011 Honda Civic i was skeptical for sure. I spent 3 previous weeks looking for the same car all resulting in disappointment from damages not disclosed by the seller; so i was making sure not to get my hopes up. When i first called Richie, he made time out of his day to schedule me to come in and look at it myself. The car was everything he said it would be and nothing less. After close inspection he let me take it for a test drive and i was instantly sold. Fast forward to the next day, i came back to finalize all the paper work and drive home my very first car. He made it all too easy. He had the vehicle inspected in the morning and drove it to the local DMV to wrap up the deal. Then, that's where things became complicated. My insurance company wasn't making this easy for any us. When i called them over the phone and wasted 20 minutes arguing, they finally told me i had to go to one of their local storefronts a few miles away. 45 minutes later I was finally able to get everything sorted out. Richie patiently waited almost an hour and a half at the DMV office for me to get everything worked out. When i finally returned the paper work only took 5 minutes. On my way back home with the car, i noticed the AC stopped working and called Richie to let him know. I took the car into his auto shop to get it looked at, and the car needed to have a part replaced. The car had to stay over night to be fixed up. to completely accommodate me, Richie was sincerely apologetic and let me use one of his rental cars so i can make it back home. The next morning came and he had my car delivered straight to my front door. Bottom line, no car buying experience is stress free, but Richie does everything in his power to make it feel that way. Any problems or concerns were taken care of immediately. He does his best to work with your schedule and needs, and has some of the best cars available all at a very affordable cost. If you are looking for an honest man that will put you before himself, look no further than Richie of South Shore Auto. 5/5 i will recommend to anyone and will be doing so to a few of my close friends looking to buy their first cars as well.

Over the last 8 years i have purchased 6 used cars for personal use. I tend to buy a used car drive it for a short period then trade it back in for something newer. Living in MA all of my business has been through a couple of wholesalers in that area. After moving to CT last year I broadened my horizons and looked in the Tri-State area for a new Vehicle. I found Ritchie through car gurus as he had a Range rover i was very interested in. Ritchie answered upon my first phone call and made me feel like a valued customer he has known for years. Great car, great service

Purchased a 2014 Porsche Cayenne from Rich and it was a great experience. From all the reviews, I was about to purchase it online and have it shipped, but last minute, I was able to go out and see the vehicle first hand. Everything was exactly as described. Rich even had me picked up and dropped off at the train station to make it easy. The whole process took less than 30 minutes and I had the car shipped later this weekend. Highly recommend!!! Amazing experience with Richie

I recently was car shopping for my wife. As many of us know, looking for a car is usually not the most enjoyable activity, and that is why my wife let me do all the work. She is uncomfortable with going to a dealership with a high pressure salesman so she just wanted me to handle it fully. I did a lot of research online and found a few suv's that fit the criteria I was looking for but really wanted the personal touch. I stumbled upon Richie's website and from the first phone call I knew I had found someone who could add that personal touch. He was incredibly helpful the whole way through and his prices on his vehicles are the best in the business due to his low overhead. In just 1 week of meeting and test driving we were able to narrow it down from 3 suvs to 1, a beautiful white Acura MDX, 2009 with 40,000 miles and in mint condition. His price already spoke for itself but he went above and beyond with a few things. He helped us in getting us an extra key at no cost and coming down to the dmv with us to get the license as well as working with my schedule in scheduling these appointments. Bought a Honda Pilot from Richie after shopping around and dealing with the typical "used car buying experiences". Rich made a personal appointment to see the car, gave me the time to check it out on my own without any pressure. Felt like he was not selling junk, but the cars he has sell themselves because he doesn't want to sell you garbage (obviously bad for his reputation and business). "Excellent experience in purchasing from Richie" Richie, sounds like a Long Island gangster. Let me tell you Richie Koehl is anything but a gangster or typical used car salesman. Thanks to Richie he made the usually dreaded purchase of a car as painless as possible. I worked for Chrysler Corporation for 15 years and was in the auto industry for over 25 years so I know how people fear the car searching and buying experience. I went on a mission to find a car and not be dragged through the mud. Let me start by saying I do not live near this dealership nor even in the state. I was shopping "on line". I found the car I wanted at 4 different dealerships across the country. I wrote each one and to my shock 2 of them just sent the pat auto reply, and to this day no follow up call or a real email from a live person. Two did rely. One in Utah and Richie in NY. The one in Utah had less miles and was about $3,000 less than Richie so I started with them. Long story short, I was told the car was perfect and it looked great from the pictures. I asked for a Car Fax and he said he would send one. Two days passed and no report so I paid to have one run and it showed the damage. I paid an inspector in Utah to inspect the car and he found the car had been in a wreck. I asked the salesman and he said he did not think it had to which I replied the Car Fax and the inspector both state it has been wrecked. The salesman said let me check into it and get back to you. The sales person called and said yes it had been in a small wreck but he was not told about it since it was fixed. I told him I was not going to do business with someone I could not trust. I called Richie about his car and within an hour I had a car fax. I called to discuss the car fax and he answered his phone even though he was watching the NY Rangers game with his wife and friends. Richie discussed the car with me and informed me it had low mileage and in good condition. He was wrong about one thing it was not in good condition but GREAT when it arrived to us. He even said it had a door ding on the passenger side that would not show up in pictures. Richie was very helpful, courteous, respectful and eager to please and make me happy. I received 43 pictures of the car the next day. He even had the car completely checked and brought up to date with all the maintenance performed. The paperwork was completed and overnight FedEx shipped just as Richie stated it would be. Richie went above and beyond to find a car hauler at a great rate to deliver the car to us. Problem solved !

Had to come back and leave another review. Last week the car I purchased had a minor unforeseen glitch with the tranny. I called Richie and explained the problem. Rich not only called me within a few hours, but made the appointment for me to get the car looked at. All within 12hrs. Turned out to be a software update issue and updates were complete within 1 working day. I've often said a good company can always sell a good product, but it's how you react to problems that separates the really good ones !!! Kudos again to Richie and his crew.

What an exciting and enlightening experience!!!!

Good afternoon everyone!!! I would like to take some time to share my experience with Ritchie ( Dealer) and Frank (Finance) at Nice Cars of LI. I have been looking for used BMW trucks for 2 months now, and could not locate a price that was feasible for me, until I ran to an add on Car Gurus, illustrating a BMW X5 for less than $10, 000. I could not believe my eyes and thought that maybe this was not true!!! After contacting Ritche about the add, he immediately asked me about my credit, as I honestly spoke about my repossession in 2013 and current late car payment. He contacted his finance department and told me he can work it out for me. The finance department (Frank) contact me in less than 1 minute, as he read my credit report. I knew at that time, I would not be approved for the loan. After several hours, I received an APPROVAL from the bank!!! What !! YES!!! After jumping up and down, I scheduled an appointment to get the car the following day. When I arrived, there was some concerns, that Ritchie did address and I became confident that he was the REAL deal. I drove off the loft with confidence and excitement. He also added to include a AUX component and a low headlight on his behalf, with his maintenance department. Great Car, Great Price, Great Experience

I'd like to start this by saying you won't find a straight shooter like Richie anywhere else in the business. I found my Chrysler 300 online. I live over six hours away from Long Island, so I could only hope everything on the website and what Richie told me over the phone was true when I drove the distance to look at it. He left nothing out. Everything was exactly as he said it was. The first look and test drive was a great experience. To begin with, Richie took his time, not rushing even though he had a wedding to be in two hours after I arrived. He was very accommodating with my circumstances of living so far away and my tight work schedule. I was able to get the car up on a lift to inspect the undercarriage, and I was able to give it a thorough test drive. He held the car for me with no deposit while I made my decision. Upon my return, he personally picked me up from the airport and walked me through all the paperwork until the car was in my name and I was driving away. Extremely Professional. Great Service. All around nice experience.

I never purchased a used car before. This was the first and Richie made the experience awesome. My wife always wanted a Land Rover and I wanted to surprise her for Christmas. I live in New Jersey and did not think I could make the trip because of health reasons. Richie made sure the car was delivered to me on Christmas Eve. It was exactly like the pictures and in excellent condition. I was really worried when I was doing the transaction that something might go wrong or maybe something was wrong with the car. My car search lasted two months before I found Nice Cars of Long Island, I dealt with multiple dealerships and dealers calling me back everyday. Best Used Car Dealer Ever!!! Do not be afraid to buy from out of stste and ship

I started the process with Richie and he immediately called me back within 24 hours. We agreed on a price for a used Land Rover Sport at a price several thousand dollars below market value. Very low mileage with only 56k. they also specialize in locating well cared for quality Land Rovers for sale. The deal was done and get this after the sale Richie put close to $1000 of additional work into the car at no charge to me! New brakes all around, oil change, new bushings and trailer arms, etc. I've NEVER heard of a dealer doing that before. Richie really gives excellent customer service. follows thru on his promises and is honest about the cars. He kept in contact with me every step of the way while I acquired the loan and arranged for shipping. Sent me a photo of the car as it was loaded for shipping. followed it up with calls and texts during the WEEKEND and made sure that I was satisfied when I received the car on a Sunday. I live 700 miles away from this dealer and have the utmost confidence in Richie and his straight forward style. I would not hesitate to buy and ship a car a third of the way across the country from Long Island to KY. Almost can't wait to wear out this Land Rover to get another one! 2010 Nissan Armada

I was just recently in a little jamb. Needed to get a vehicle in a short period of time, and who feels like shopping for a used car in the middle of winter with a foot of snow on the ground? I was looking for a large SUV. There were a lot of them around, but I don't know which was worse, the condition of the cars, the high mileage, or the ridiculous high prices. I came across Nice Cars on the internet. I saw some good deals, got in my rental and took a ride. Wow! The cars were all in pristine shape, had low mileage and the prices were great. When I met Rich, I was very comfortable. I was interested in the Nissan Armada he had there. He handed me the key and let me check it out. He never tried to sell the car to me, he let the car sell it self. He went over the whole car, kept in touch with me with great communication. A few days later, I came home with a great car at a great price. I'll probably be back there next year, because I have a son and he's getting his liscense. Richie was extremely patient and calmly walked me through the pros and cons of the car. The price was excellent and required no haggling. I needed a bit of body work done and Richie gave me a more than fair price and clearly did more work than I paid for. Richie reminds me of the old days when you felt safe leaving your house early in the morning on your bike and coming home at supper. All good times, no worries and your friends had your back. Perfect out of state experience!

Could not be happier with our entire experience with Richie at nice car. We had a specific Land Rover in mind and we found it in Long Island, New York, almost a 1000 miles from where we live in Michigan. I was very skeptical about buying a vehicle without seeing in, but Richie assured me it was a great 1 owner Land Rover with a very good service record. Richie spent a lot of time with me going over every detail and paperwork, then to make it even better he had the vehicle brought right to my door. When my wife and I looked the vehicle over it was perfect just like he said. We could not be happier with the experience and the Land Rover. First I want to say that I never wrote a review before for anything ..... But dealing with Richard is worth stopping and writing one. I have to say Richard from the first moment I met him he made me feel comfortable that at ease that I was dealing with the best car dealer in the business . Level of professionalism was off the charts. Everything is disclosed and no hidden secrets. Was undecided between 2 SUV's and he let test drive them both to make sure I was happy with no hassles . Once decided he made sure I was completely happy going the extra mile taking care of a few Iil things that somewhere else would have been not even a thought. A pleasure from start to finish

I recently purchased a 2009 Range Rover Sport and would definitely recommend this business to anyone else. Richie was professional and a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Although I had no appointment, he let me test drive the vehicle and accepted my word that I wanted it without so much as an credit application or deposit. The rest of the transaction went very smoothly, he took it to my mechanic, helped with the financing and did all the paperwork. I am most likely going to purchase an extended warrantee through him as well. In vehicle is in excellent condition and I couldn't be happier.

What used car buying should always be like

Not certain where to begin but if I had to boil my decision down to three main factors I'd say dealing with Richie assured me that there was no hidden aspect to our dealings, his vehicles are in great shape and he goes to great length to ensure no vehicle is offered for sale or leaves his lot without meeting his personal high expectations and his prices can't seem to be beat. His advertised price doesn't include any hidden fees or conditions like I had the terrible misfortune of discovering most other dealers fail to disclose. No high pressure sales tactics. Extremely responsive in communicating with me and very accommodating when it came down to taking the vehicles for a test drive and taking delivery. From start to finish I was extremely impressed with Richie and his assortment of vehicles. I suppose the best thing I can say is that I will definitely be seeing Richie again soon when its time to put my daughter in her first car. No other dealer came close to earning my loyalty and trust the way Richie did effortlessly.

Lexus SC 430

It is with great pleasure that I write this review on behalf of the Nice Car Auto Sales Company. My experience with this Business was excellent. The Owner Richie was more than fair on the pricing of my 2002 Lexus SC 430. I had plans to purchase another vehicle of the same model that afternoon. After seeing his vehicle on line I decided to take a look. The rest is history!! There was absolutely no comparison between his car and the one I had planned to purchase. This vehicle was in showroom condition and ready to go. The only thing we had to do was put the new tags on and drive away. Richie held the car on a handshake until I arranged financing and the payment was wired to his account. Not to many large or small dealers like this one. I would definitely look for him when I'm ready for my next purchase.
